@macgreg Turns out a messed up the earlier mention, so I’ll try again. Do you know if there is a way to pass a variable into snippet? I have something rigged up that I want to write about, but wanted to at least follow through with my ask before posting.

A few years ago an insurance rep warned me and my colleagues about these types of emergency clinics. That was when I was still living in New York. Now that I am living in Austin, I see them are popping up everywhere. Now I know why.

@macgreg Feel free to ignore my blatant use of this smaller platform to see if you know if this snippet is even possible. Currently I use ;aUrl to get the frontmost Safari tab’s url. I would like be able to do something like ;aUrl.number to get a specified tab’s url. Any ideas?

Early Thoughts on the Logitech Create Keyboard

Finally purchased a keyboard for my 9.7″ iPad Pro, the Logitech Create1. Some early thoughts…

Pros

  1. iPad + keyboard is truly amazing.
  2. Keys feel alright given low travel.
  3. Smart Connector 👍.
  4. Good keyboard support in many apps.

Cons

  1. The keyboard is clearly still a second class interface.
  2. A little cramped on a 9.7″ though I hear this is better with the newer 10.5″ iPad Pro keyboards.
  3. Not sure if there is a good way to collapse the case so the iPad lays flat in while in portrait.

Jury’s Out

Switching planes (by that I mean going from typing on a horizontal plane to pointing with touch on a vertical plane) is entirely intuitive in some moments, but then incredibly awkward in others. For example, gestures such as swiping to scroll or tapping a button come naturally, but the gesture for adjusting the insertion point with the two fingers is cumbersome.

I made this chart to describe the effectiveness of search whenever I try to pick up a new skill. I wonder if anyone else shares this experience.
