I was just thinking how someone should Photoshop in some dangerous idiot skeptics into Majora’s Mask. This thought turned out to be moot though, because the game already has dangerous idiot skeptics.
Sometimes I feel like a bunch of developers came into JavaScript and decided it needed some sort of resource intensive compilation step just so it could be more like the “real” languages they’d worked in prior.
And now I want @rianjohnson to make a Columbo. Now some may be thinking “didn’t he just do a whodunit?” Well, my hypothetical inquisitive stranger, Columbo is not a whodunit (quite the opposite, in fact!)
And yes, any new Columbo should still be a teleplay.
Is anyone else bothered by how most spreadsheets vertically align to the bottom?
How do you know when a software company has finally made it in enterprise?
When searches for how to download their software all circuitously lead through a page containing meticulously detailed installation instructions, but absolutely no information on where to download.
Snark aside, the fact that both the Magic Keyboard and the Surface Book 3 keyboard have very different designs illustrates that firm hinges require more weight than floppy ones. Weight comparisons between firm and floppy aren’t useful beyond being a categorical trade-off.
Given all the consternation about how much a 12.9″ iPad weighs with the Magic Keyboard (1.35 KG according to @gruber), I think it’s worth pointing out that the new 13″ Surface Book 3 is significantly heavier (1.53 KG to 1.64 KG according to Microsoft.)
I love Walt’s phrasing here. Some still like to dismiss Jobs as merely a marketer, but behind the brilliant marketing was a smart (if not revolutionary) product that would not have happened without him.
I’ve said it a thousand times. Given a better investment opportunity, the virus will move on from humans. Then we can focus dealing with those humans who no longer generate value for the investor.

May the Fourth Reckon
Note: This reckon contains spoilers for The Rise of Skywalker.
While I enjoyed the three movies leading up to The Rise of Skywalker, part of me wishes that instead of echoing Luke, Rey’s story echoed Anakin.
The original trilogy already succeeded at telling the story of a young Jedi who overcame darkness to become the hero. Rehashing a good story is and was fun, but it isn’t interesting. On the other hand, the prequels failed to tell the story of how a hero Jedi falls into darkness. It’s an interesting story waiting to be done well.
Imagine if Rey had succumb and taken Palpatine’s place?
Imagine if Disney announced that the next trilogy will take place a decade or so after that event.
Even if we’re all a bit fatigued by Star Wars, wouldn’t that be interesting?
I think it would.
