We finally got to watch “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. So much to love about the film, but Waymond in particular resonated with me. Usually the goofy husband is inconsequential and/or a deadbeat. Waymond on the other hand is the one quietly holding things together.

Going on my first work trip since before COVID. Am I excited? Yes. Am I nervous? Also yes. Am I overpacking? Definitely yes.

Thinking about adding “is comfortable with awkward silence” as a job requirement for prospective scrum coaches because even the most engaged teams genuinely have nothing to say when prompted with the necessary “does anyone have any other questions before estimating?”

Playing through Pikmin 3 with the kiddo, and I’m pretty sure this thing ends with Brittany murdering her fellow crew members after going “juice mad”.

My five-year-old watching Odd Squad reminds me of how I used to watch You Can’t Do That On Television, and makes me wonder if absurdist live action Canadian television aimed at children is just part of growing up.

My Columbo-esque murder plot would involve somehow making my victim the starting quarterback of The New York Jets. Bill Belichick would then be my murder weapon.

I’ll add that my criticism of this particular company’s abuse of H1-Bs has nothing to do with the mostly good, if not great, individual H1-Bs or contractors I worked with.

That said, the whole reason the company was outsourcing to begin with was to get cheaper labor. Even if these H1-Bs were competitively paid, they were effectively hired by the contractor to work with said contractor’s cheaper offshore labor. Money was still the driver. Not talent. 2/2
