Fixed.
I dreamt I decided to run for mayor in a small town specifically to sow confusion and undermine some right wing nut job incumbent who also happened to be named “Jack Wellborn”.
In our house, we’ve started measuring time in Blueys.
“How much longer until you can play, Dad?”
“About three Blueys.”
“Okaaay.”
The not so good:
I had guessed correctly that it started as a tech demo, because it felt like one at parts.
I was surprised how many levels seemed to discourage speed in favor of platforming.
Overall, I thought it was a good game.
Did I mention that the music is banging?
I just now beat Sonic The Hedgehog. As someone who grew up ith Mario, here are my notes.
The good:
The music is banging.
Most of the level design was pretty good.
I especially enjoyed how many, if not most, levels had multiple paths.
This informs my how and where I post. I typically use my blog when writing posts, but use social media platforms when replying in a conversation.
Why not just post to my blog? I actually think social platforms are way better for discourse than comments. Commenting on a blog feels like showing up at someone’s house expecting to have a chat, whereas replying on a social platform feels like joining a conversation at the bar.
Some may be wondering why I would post to social platforms from my blog rather than their sites/apps. In addition to not wanting to manually crosspost, these silly micro posts are my writing and so I want to be in control of their origin.
I think I’ve fixed sharing posts with Markdown links and with multiple images to Mastodon, so here goes nothing.
One more before an evening of Bluey.
