It’s important to remember that the Republicans are able to do this because they won elections. Their base of sycophants don’t take the mid terms off. They don’t sit out when their favorite candidate isn’t on the ticket. Republicans vote so you should too.

Republicans consist of two groups:
Those who are deathly afraid of societal norms being violated.
Others who shamelessly enrich themselves by pandering and manipulating those who are deathly afraid of societal being violated.
Assembling a Macintosh IIcx live in front of an audience seems even more terrifying to me than @pschiller‘s perilous AirPort jump (though maybe not as terrifying as demonstrating network printing.)
My three-year-old raising a missing lid above his head singing “ba-da-da-da” is a sure sign we’re doing something right.
The only people we can’t fire are justices, and we only get to hire them by winning elections.

It’s not just shitty presidents we can fire too.
And we can keep on firing until we find a backfill we like.
