People complain about the iPad’s 4:3 aspect ratio for watching video. Honestly, I just don’t see the problem.

You know when Indiana Jones grabs his hat just before the stone door closes? I went to college just before tuition spiked and bought my house just before this latest housing boom. Like Jones, I got lucky. Those even slightly younger than me can’t afford a house. That’s wrong.
One of my fears in how The Times could make Wordle worse is by starting to use increasingly esoteric and/or topical words. Wordle is great because almost anyone can win on any given day. To limit that audience would be a shame.

One of the benefits of using a clacky mechanical keyboard is that keys that are shaped differently also sound different. For example, the return and shift keys sound different than the letter keys. For me, this added feedback is surprisingly helpful when touch typing.
I’m so glad I took a few minutes to tidy my home office today. I need to make a habit of it.
When I was young, I never really understood when the olds would justify some new habit (dieting, yoga, etc…) by saying it helped them “feel good.” I already felt fine. Now in my forties, I now realize “feel good” really means “feel normal”.
People say you should never microwave your coffee. While I agree you shouldn’t make a habit of it, I much prefer coffee rewarmed in the microwave than coffee that’s been perpetually cooked on some hot burner for hours.
