- Unlike other teams, the Patriots color rush uniforms actually looked good so their promotion is not surprising.

- The new blue and red striped whites is reminiscent of their inaugural 1960 uniforms(I couldn’t find a good color photo from 1960 so Welker in the 50th anniversary throwback will have to do.) I think these look alright though I prefer a little separation in the stripes.

- While this change is undoubtedly to juice jersey sales, I think switching jerseys now makes sense thematically. Part of me wishes they never go back and the Brady era look becomes a new throwback to remind all of us Patriots fans of the historically good players and teams that wore them.
