My CalDigit Thunderbolt Station 2 purchased nearly 5 years ago works with an adapter on my 2016 MacBook Pro. It was expensive ($215), but it’s lasted through three MacBook Pros and gets daily use. If you pay more of a nice computer, you should consider paying more a nice dock.
